Sources & method

How the directory is built, what counts as a source, and what the Verified badge actually means.

1

Research passes

The directory grows through repeated, verified research passes — category by category, city by city, toward our 3,000-leader goal. Listings are added only when a public reference confirms them.

2

Public references

Acceptable sources are public and checkable: professional profiles, organization bios, registries, press, and published work. Every record carries the public reference it was verified against.

3

Blank over guessed

We do not invent people, websites, or social links. When a detail can't be verified, the field stays blank rather than guessed.

What the badge means

A Verified badge means the person's name, role, and category were confirmed against the public source linked on their profile. It is not an endorsement, ranking, or credential check beyond what the source itself states.
